Thermapan PWF foundations eliminate two of the factors that we’ve seen are the cause of wood decay:
- The exposed plywood is pressure treated, a process that alters the cellular structure of the wood, thereby eliminating the food source.
- SIP foundations are backfilled with stone or equi-valent drainage so that water is channelled around the foundation, minimizing moisture exposure
