Two-day SIP Installation Course:

Welcome to our comprehensive two-day SIP Installation Training Course!

Day One: In-class instruction

A. Introduction to Thermapan & Structural Insulated Panels

B. Envelope science of SIPs – structural strength and energy-efficiency

C. Applications for SIPs – wall, roof, floor and foundation and tool required

D. How to design, estimate costs and sell SIPs

Total time: 6 hours, plus 1 hour for scheduled lunch and breaks

Day Two: Hands on SIP construction

A. Hands on practicum – a small SIP building will be cut and assembled by the participants (a gable or shed roof using SIPs for floor, wall and roof, as well as a small PWF Frost wall will be assembled). Various methods for door and window openings will be demonstrated and incorporated into the project as well. At the end of the day a completed SIP structure will be completed.

B. Demonstrations of how to apply different types of membranes and siding may be shown, if time permitted.

Total time: 6 hours, plus 1 hour for lunch and breaks
