Panels (PN) sit on 2x8 pwf plating
(PL) and concrete footing (CF). |

Thermapan foundation panels are composed
of 7/16" oriented strand board interior plywood (OSB),
expanded polystyrene insulation (EPS) and 5/8" preserved
wood foundation exterior plywood (PWF). Sealing foam (SF)
is applied along joints for insulation, air and vapour
seals. |

2x8 preserved wood foundation splines
(SP) are used to join the panels together. The spline
(SP) is fastened to the 2x8 preserved wood foundation
plate (PL). |

Next foundation panel (PN) is placed
on plating and the fastening process is continued.

This 60 foot foundation section was
completed in 2 hours. |

Column (CL) can simply be cut into
panels for point loads. |
|

|
Two top plates (TP) are fastened to
the top of the panels to secure them. |
|


|
This 120 foot foundation section including
top plates was completed in 6.5 hours. One carpenter and
two helpers were required to install this project.
